Naw, those stickers are just there to scare people and are actually illegal.

So no, you can't lose the warranty by removing or damaging a sticker.

That article says nothing about the warranty stickers being illegal. It just states that the wording is a violation and specifically referring to stuff about parts needing to be provided by specific companies or authorized repair companies. They do still have the right to refuse work, though, if the consumer or another person broke the seal and it wasn't properly replaced. Also, if faulty parts or incompatible parts are used to attempt repairs, they have no obligation to try to fix the unit since the consumer would most of the time like their same unit back rather than a complete replacement, which would also have a negative impact on the manufacturer with having to replace every unit that has problems because someone else, who obviously didn't do the repairs right, messed it up..
