Fun fact for those who don't know - Marvel actually wrote all of the character descriptions for the Transformer and GI Joe toys in the 80s - Hasbro just brought random toys over from Japan (Transformers) or made random soldier-y looking figures (GI Joe), and then Marvel had to come up with names, personalities, and backstory for them to put on the packaging. Almost everything we know about characters in those franchises in their original incarnation comes mainly from Marvel - or more specifically, Larry Hama (GI Joe) and Bob Budiansky (Transformers).
