While resolution is unfulfilling on some levels -- since he's a guy who was really owed some comeuppance -- they made him a *lot* more sympathetic towards the end of the season. In general, Bushmaster is a *lot* more fleshed out than Diamondback, his fights are more interesting, and he's generally a more intimidating villain.

Also that's a shitty justification for the claim that the season sucks as a whole which, honestly, it doesn't (certainly not compared to s1, although the budget was clearly a bit less this time around). Luke in s1 is a far flatter character, the season takes a *lot* longer to truly build into anything (because Luke spends most of the early going denying his power), and the fights were lackluster -- *all* of which were things fixed in s2.
