Airhammy 09/04/18 8:56:35 PM #8: | The fortress stages didn't really pick up until MM4. The first is decent with variety, but difficult. It takes practice to understand the layouts, and the bosses. As for the second it was kind of lazy in places. I dislike the flicker that can occur when fighting Mecha Dragon. It has resulted in many unnecessary deaths. The third stage is far too short, and the boss is too easy. Boo Beam Trap is infamous for it's use of Crash Bomb only and backtracking if you die or run out. While MM3 is my favorite of the classics the fortress is so empty. I can beat it so quickly and the bosses are far too simple. There's one feature I dislike. If you're new to the game and manage to game over towards the end of the fortress you'll be given the options for Continue, and Stage Select. Curious why stage select would even be there, but if you choose it you go all the way back to the beginning of the fortress. I had a friend do this twice when he played the game blind. He was livid. and yes there are other MegaMan games where spcific weapons are required for a boss. As stated above some of the Gameboy titles have this issue. In MM4 for NES the final Wily capsule can only be damaged by Pharaoh Shot and Ring Boomerang. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
