He's keeping food on the table, and he takes pride in his work. There's nothing to be ashamed of - like it says in the OP, acting is a pretty tumultuous career with very few gigs that offer any sort of job security. We think about the Neil Patrick Harrises and Chris Pratts of the world, theae leading men who are always showing up in TV and movies, but a lot of actors are getting by with commercial jobs, roles in instructional videos, the occasional pilot, maybe some stage stuff - when they aren't getting consistent acting jobs, it's great to be able to have a skill or career to fall back on to support yourself.

These guys could have become massive divas who believe that the world owes them something because they were on a popular TV show, developed drug habits and spent the rest of their lives imploding and being obnoxious, entitled Hollywood d-bags. Instead, they found a steady job with a steady income to support themselves, and they chase their passion on the side when they're not working. That's commendable, and the fact that FOX News would want to shit on a hard-working American for the sake of what is essentially clickbait shows where their values truly lie - gawk and point at the little guy so a bunch of callous dickheads can feel slightly better about their own mediocre lives.

Yep. This is something I've heard repeatedy from voice actors, that almost no one in the voiceover industry makes a living just from cartoons, or games, or commercials. Usually, it's a mix of all three.
