This might sound weird, but in some ways, V actually feels like less than Ground Zeroes. In addition to all the base building collectathon stuff you mentioned which IMO just dilutes the game, V has absolutely nothing that compares to the richness of the Naval Prison Facility. The entire area was thoughtfully crafted, which is more than you can say for a majority of V's world - but more importantly, they squeezed a TON of actual meaningful content into it. I was hoping V would have 100 hours of crazy shit like the side ops in Ground Zeroes, which brought with them actually different gameplay styles and mission types to re-explore the base in all kinds of different ways. Not only did V not live up to that expectation, they had no content whatsoever that matched those ops in terms of diversity or intrigue. The side-ops we ended up getting feel like they were slapped together by interns rather than Kojima's cream of the crop. --- Let the voice of love take you higher, With this gathering power, go beyond even time! ...
