In my teens I only bothered listening to the radio and thus most of my preference was pop music. I still enjoyed the odd nu mental song that appeared in the UK charts though from the likes of Linkin Park, Slipknot and so on. It wasn't until I left school at the age of 16 that I got more into nu metal though. I borrowed Slipknots Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) album from a guy I met on this media course I did at the age of 17.
