Do I have to explain why scalping isn't bad every fucking time this issue comes up?
Scalpers are the reason why you and me and anyone else can buy a ticket at our convenience when we'd like. Scalpers are the reason why we don't have to work around our busy fucking life schedule to make sure we're at the front of the line for tickets to a show we want to see.
They do us a service. They are a natural part of the process. Thank you, scalpers. Anyone who sees differently is wrong. You are wrong. Change that. Get a better perspective.
Google "Why ticket scalping is good" and start reading article after article if you don't believe me.

They're parasites. Your argument hinges on the fact that ridiculously-priced tickets will sell at a slower rate. What a stupid argument. By the way, scalpers are a big reason why you have to rush to buy tickets at reasonable prices, because they're buying up so many of them! They often use bots to buy for them, too. Scalpers are scumbag parasites and add nothing to the system except, according to you, to hold tickets for ridiculous prices so that rich people (or people making a poor financial decision) can buy tickets at their leisure for that ridiculous price.

Go talk to an economics professor about this. I literally learned in college from 2 econ professors about why scalping isn't bad. You gonna tell me guys with PHDs in Economics don't know what they're talking about?
You're going to have to define "bad" because I'd call price inflation due to artificial scarcity bad, but I'm sure those particular professors think it's "good" because it's the stupid system they have in mind "working as intended". They can take their PhD and cram it up their ass. ---
