Enterprise thinking requires companies like Walmart to maintain a strong quarterly profit margin even in the face of extenuating circumstances. So if they increase prices, they won't do anything to improve the wages of their own employees, which turns into a vicious cycle where the cost of living for those employees go up because they now will be able to afford less at their own store.
