So, our POV character is a girl this time. And we're beginning with a second-person image of our face. Kaede Akamatsu - ULTIMATE REVIVAL - and we've just come out of a locker.

In the first 60 seconds, we've seen way more images of our protagonist than in the first 60 seconds of DR1 or DR2. Makes sense, since presumably you're assumed not to be able to identify as easily with a girl. At least we stumble as we walk out, meaning that we're clumsy, so therefore approachable.

So we're back in school, but the aesthetic is pretty different - black and green are the dominant colors, and there are chains on the wall.

Oh hey, here's our male companion coming out of the other locker. Maybe he'll be our self-insert character, but viewed through other eyes. He doesn't seem to be memory-wiped like we are though, since he's taling about being kidnapped. Shuichi Saikara.

Oh, so we were kidnapped as well. Both Shuichi and Kaede are "regular" kids.

Suddenly, tutorial. Except... I have no fucking clue how any of these instructions translates to PC controls, as it references the button A, trigger buttons, and joysticks. I guess we'll see.

Despite my comments at the beginning, I'm enjoying the dialogue style, where the image of Kaede splits the screen with the image of Shuichi.
