the southern accent

there are many different southern accents

There are like three or four.

Texas alone has 4. Louisiana has a few, Georgia and Alabama are similar but do have some distinct ones, Mississippi has their own, Florida has their own, the Carolinas have their own, Kentucky has their own, Tennessee has their own, the Virginia's have their own, and so on. There are distinct accents in literally every state in the country.

Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle all have the same southern accents. Louisiana is its own fucking jumbled mess. The Carolinas are basically people from Georgia who are closer to the ocean with some middle class midwesterners sprinkled in. The Virginias speak southern Cockney.
