Well, neither idea is bad but Theresa May is celebrating an actual event so it's the better of the two. If they really did Brexit day up, they could make it into a holiday. Maybe commemorate it with fireworks and call it "Independence Day"

Hold on, people are always saying that we need to be more culturally diverse. Clearly celebrating a variation of Bastille Day will get us there.

It makes no sense for the Federal government to celebrate a national holiday of another country. It would be just as crazy for France to celebrate Independence day.


They should celebrate Independence Day, it's a pretty cool day. Plus France had a part in helping us win that freedom (at least, the previous monarchy did). Shouldn't they celebrate with us?

We had no part in Bastille day. Is this some sort of joke?
