Im curious about how many robot masters would be included in a movie. Just the original 6 to match the first game? Or multiple ones from the sequels, and Mega Man takes a bunch out at once as he gets stronger?

Is Rush in the movie? Does Wily get his flying saucer? Will the Yellow Devil somehow be in it? Proto Man? Theres a lot to draw on.

Eh, it seems like they rarely ever just incorporate stuff only from the original. We'd probably see a mix of masters from the first three games -- because those are the iconic ones -- with some masters with goofier or more impractical premises (like Cut Man) only being used as cameos. Given that there are only six masters in the original, they'd kinda need to pad it out or heavily rely on minions.

I already suggested that Proto Man would almost certainly be in it (and possibly Roll as well, for gender diversity). Yellow Devil as a concept would work well in film (he could be comprised of nanites) but they couldn't use the name (even just calling him Y.E.L.L.O.W. as an acronym would might spark outrage) and he'd likely be a poor fit for the story. Rush and Beat would both depend on the movie's tone. They could have them in very minor roles. Given that both characters would be great for selling merch to kids, it seems like they'd want to somehow use them.

I'd also be curious to see how they handle the robot gore, whether we'd see the bots get gruesomely destroyed and just lie there or if they'd explode. I doubt Mega Man would just absorb their essenc ie from an explosion so I'm guessing there'd have to be some contact.

At any rate, speculation is probably pointless this is never going to happen.
