I'm sorry, but if I was a senator and genuinely thought, for one reason or another that MY voters wanted me to vote "no", and I made a big show about voting "no"...I would at least have the balls to stick to my convictions. Oh, I'm so sorry that you had to choose between confirming a rapist to the court and attending your daughter's wedding...that's a real rough choice for you. But nope, it's all politics and all a stage show to make the party look like they have a bare minimum of principles.
