No, it's definitely breaking. Low-information voting is ever on the rise and the lines between celebrity and politician are becoming increasingly blurred (to the point where a Kanye presidence doesn't seem beyond the realm of possibility). Democracy only truly works with an informed, responsible populace and that's been slipping away for a long time now.
