Yes, because what we REALLY need are more origin stories. you can write superhero stories that aren't origin stories. spider-man homecoming for example was great. also, as I'm sure you already know, plenty of comics got off the ground by writing actual story arcs first and then going back and "revealing" the origins of the characters later. just because hollywood is obsessed with doing things one way right now doesn't mean it always has to be that way.
