i haven't ever made a serious attempt to rank video game characters because i just wouldn't know how to compare the characters from well-developed visual novels/RPGs/story-focused games with shit like link and samus and kirby.
i do have tv character rankings in spreadsheets but i don't keep it updated, just rerank every few years. but even then it's probably been about 5 years? since i've done that.
