How would you feel if your grandfather fell and hit his head and was critically injured. You dialed 911 and they told you all their resources were busy at the moment and someone will be there as soon as possible. An hour later an ambulance finally arrives, but your grandfather is dead by then.

Days later you find out that resources were unavailable to respond to your injured grandfather because they had all their men investigating a lemonade stand on the other side of town that some soccer mom was triggered by because the kids didn't have a permit to sell.

I think the bigger issue there would be the gross mismanagement of sending ambulances out to investigate complaints of a lemonade stand.

You know what I mean.

Yes I know what you mean, but ...

T'was an example off the top of my head, bro. Nitpicking is just reaching to disrupt the point.

There are examples of people calling for an ambulance when they genuinely didn't need one at all. And they get priority over your grandfather who just critically injured his head.

Maybe some hypochondriac mom who called for an ambulance because her daughter said she "felt dizzy" after going down the slide.

Whatever example you want to tear apart, you knew what I meant and where I was going with it. *shrug*

Oh gamefaqs.

Right. You said:

You do not call the cops for something so incredibly fickle and stupid.

That's what you meant and I agree. What I don't agree with is your use of straw men as examples because they're so unreasonable and, in regards to the lemonade stand, ridiculous. People calling for ambulances when they didn't need one at all and the hypochondriac mom; if they're think they're having a medical issue, how are they supposed to know that they didn't "genuinely" need one until one arrives to check them out?

*yawn* Huh?

Oh. Straw men.

So you do understand that people can call for an ambulance when it isn't necessarily an emergency, and people can call the cops for someone at McDonalds getting their order wrong.

Not sure what point you are trying to make beyond that.

I am glad that you understand the resources can be mismanaged and abused and it can cause people in GENUINE distress to suffer as a result.

I am glad we have come to an understanding. Have a great day, HellWithoutSin
