BO3 didn't implement them very well, but they're much more balanced in BO4. I like that BO4 is encouraging more tactical gameplay with each specialist having their own unique niche. Plus, each one having their own story and lore behind them helps add some personality to the game, rather than just playing as faceless soldier #97,412.

Agreed again. The "near-future" setting is best because it still has the boots-on-the-ground gameplay we know and love, but it still allows for some creative liberties (with new guns, equipment, streaks, etc. that make the game more fun) that a modern/historic game wouldn't. IMO, fun factor trumps realism any day of the week.

Actual fucking satisfying killstreaks. Having the AC-130 or Warthog in Black Ops 4 isn't enough, they have to be fucking scary for the other team to have. Swarm, dogs, V-TOL? All worth getting.

All within reason too. No needing 5-7 kills for a UAV without Hardline

I liked that the streaks in BO2 were powerful, but I liked even more that you had to work hard to earn them. The scorestreak system, which rewarded objective players over kill-farmers and incentivized trying to win the game over just farming kills, was one of the best things to ever happen to the series. You want that Swarm, Dogs, or VTOL? Good luck trying to get it in Domination or Hardpoint without playing the objective, because you'll need like 25 non-objective kills to do that.

MW2 letting players get a Tactical Nuke with only 7 gun kills by chaining Harrier to AC-130 to Nuke was pure cancer, and thank god a system like that never returned.

WW2 was normal too. It may have launched in a shitty state because it was rushed in development (I'm 100% convinced that Sledgehammer were planning Advanced Warfare 2 but scrapped it when they saw Infinite Warfare get trashed) but the post-launch updates turned it into something that was not only playable, but pretty damn fun.
