I love spiderman 1 and 2 but am surprised when people say 2 is the best, because it's like, are you forgetting that this is the movie that had mary jane run through the street in a wedding dress? Like even as a teen that part really rubbed me the wrong way, it put a damper on the entire movie especially since it was like the last scene of the movie. It was like, the hell am I watching, I paid for spiderman 2.

Anyway Homecoming is one of those movies where when I first watched it I breathed a sigh of relief thinking this is so much better than those 2 garbage movies before with that garbage actor they hired to replace the tobey maguire movies. But the more I watch it the more I dislike some parts of it, and I at first liked tom holland spiderman because again he's SOOOO much better than that garbage one who I won't dignify with even naming, but he's also a bit annoying in that "entitled millennium new generation of kids" sort of way. The climax wasn't as good as anything else, and while the original movies were too silvery age in constantly having a girl to save in the climax, I think the having something to save is really important to give stakes to a climax because otherwise I wasn't really feeling it with Homecoming's climax.

Also michael keaton being michael keaton is a hundred times more terrifying than vulture lol.

Also a shame they didn't feature liz allen more because goddamn the actress they had for her is gorgeous and so sweet and soft voiced, like jesus. I can't believe she left but they kept that grungy girl who they were trolling the audience with calling her "mj" which is the moniker of a different character in spiderman lore.

So the more I rewatch the movie the more its flaws stand out, which didn't seem that huge the first time because it was just that much better than what we had in 2012 and 2014 with those utterly garbage, garbage movies which I won't dignify with naming.
