The last time I did anything for Halloween was 20 years ago. I was only a little boy, and my family designed their own costumes for us. But when I turned 9, everything in our lives changed once my step father retired from the military. They kept us or of schools the rest of our lives, moved far out into the woods where there are no neighbors, so Halloween simply became nothing to me because I couldn't. All I cared about was free candy anyways.

So now that I'm a grown up in the city, I may just go with a basket and get free candy. But I will not participate in anything like parties and costumes. You know, with everything there are reasons why we call things what they are. Like trick or treat. It's not some made up fun and cool thing. This Halloween has very wicked, evil history where it came from. After understanding that, I'm not having anything except candy.
