This poll has a very large divide on when it aired, MASH was my dad's favorite show growing up, so i've likely seen every episode twice at this point and it really is an incredible series overall. With that said, i'm not surprised a lot of the younger posters here haven't seen it, or a few haven't even heard of it.

I think also that mash was a product of it's time with the war. Everyone can relate to a medical issue but not everyone was around for the war. I mean, I'm only 31 so obviously I wasn't there. I still enjoy it for what it is but I imagine the story is more impactful for those that experienced it first hand

It didn't air during the war. The war was in the 50s, it aired during the 70s and 80s.

That doesn't change anything. Those people that lived through the war didn't just die off. Anybody who was 30 or above knew what the show was about in the 70s. No millennials were alive which is most what this board is. Everyone can relate to medical issues and everyone certainly got to see it fresh would admittedly add a nostalgic value
