The amount of literal power you think a boss has over the employee's life. Every person can express themselves any time they want. The only power the boss has is whether to pay them or not (and often they don't even have that power based on labor laws). And spoilers: a profitable employee will not be fired. That's capitalism. If your profitability isn't affected by your dress, you won't be fired for it.
