The point of acting is to be someone that you arent. Were you upset that Frodo wasnt played by a real Hobbit?

Being gay or being a fantasy creature isn't something tied to ethnicity. Playing a ethnic Polish character kinda is.

And when it's a discriminated group being looked over yet again in a story with roots in their own folkore, it kinda sucks.

It's the fact that nowadays even someone like Witold Pilecki wouldn't be cast as a Pole in a Hollywood nowadays.
