TsunamiXXVIII 11/03/18 7:49:17 PM #35: | WrestIeMania posted... And who do we have as the NY6 assuming Bama wins? Ohio State probably winds up in the Rose; they like to take the next available team from the conference when their champion is taken. No one in the Coastal is worthwhile; they all have 3 losses already so if Clemson were to somehow get upset in the conference championship game it would absolutely give an NY6 bid to a team that would not be in contention for an at-large. Syracuse might still be a longshot for an at-large if they win out to get to 10-2. As for the Big XII... that's a tough call. Ironically, the best chance they have for getting two teams into the NY6 is probably if OU and WVU split, because then the runner-up has only two losses as well. OU probably has the better at-large credentials so the Sooners winning out until the CCG is probably better. Right now, here are my picks. Semifinal games: Bama vs. Michigan, Clemson vs. Notre Dame Rose Bowl: Washington State vs. Ohio State Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl: LSU vs. UCF Peach Bowl: Kentucky vs. Syracuse ... yeah, that looks weird. But looking at how many ranked teams fell today, and a lot of the ones that didn't still have tough games left... it's kind of undeniable. If Oklahoma and Syracuse both win out, Syracuse is absolutely an NY6 team barring Clemson losing the ACC championship Game or the OSU-UM winner losing the Big Ten Championship Game. And if Kentucky takes another loss, even one upset wouldn't derail 'Cuse-- ESPECIALLY if that upset is Pitt over Clemson, because that would mean that both of Syracuse's losses would be to NY6 teams. (Seriously, how is Pitt legitimately a contender to go to the ACC Championship Game?) --- "Someday I'll catch up, and then you'll all be surprised!" BKSheikah has the power. He is the one. ...
