Big 12 is not officially dead. 11-1 WVU would still have a strong case. They just need Notre Dame or the Big Ten champ to lose another game (maybe 2 in ND's case). What if Georgia beats Bama in a close game? ND and Clemson finish unbeaten. If 1 loss Champion Michigan gets left out over 1 loss non Champion Bama... they may very well march on Indianapolis If that happens, the Big Ten and Pac 12 will just pack up and leave with the Rose Bowl.
