Waiting 5 days to send a thank you letter is very bad. You should send it the same day, or the next day at the absolute latest.

Everything else you said it too vague to judge. They're always going to smile and give you their cards. They do that with even the worst applicants that they have already decided on the spot that they aren't going to hire. It's just being courteous and nothing more. Heck, I have even been given tours of the office and never gotten a call back.

What is the position? How long did the interview last? For most professional type jobs, a good interview should last at least an hour. If it didn't last that long, it probably didn't go as well as you thought. Did you ask questions too or did you just answer their questions? You should always have questions of your own. What exactly happened during the interview? You opening post is way too vague to really get a grasp on whether it went well or not.
