But it's also really weird because one of the benefits of pumping is that you can do it ahead of time. Like, I really don't see why she was even initially planning to pump during one of the breaks. Do it before the race, then you don't have to worry about it. I'm certain she did pump beforehand. Your boobs don't just stop making milk. Over the course of a long event like the Ironman, you would have normally fed your kid at least once, so your boobs are going to be uncomfortable as fuck because they're so full of milk.
