As much as I didnt want Steve to be the first boot, it had little to do with him and more with what I thought it would do to the season (and was right). Steve himself was just barely more entertaining than any of the other borewhores this fiscal year, because he was God awful at lying about being a cop. And yet very few people ended up picking up on it despite all the ridiculous hints he gave away. His friendship with Scottie wasnt really anything special either. There have been far more fun bonds even this year. But at the first eviction, I REALLY didnt want him to get the boot, not because I liked him or disliked Sam, but because I knew it would be the start of the Level 6 slaughter that the season devolved into. Best case scenario that night would have been Sam receiving the most votes then staying in with her power app. But Steve got voted out and thus began a string of unfortunate boots that lasted right up until the final 6 when Sam outlasted Brett. So yeah. Thanks Steve for I guess not being able to find a way to stay and prevent this crap.

Yeah, originally I didnt have all the first boots clustered together like this, but it just seemed neater and tidier to move a few people up or down a slot just to keep everything organized. This was not a great year for first boots, and this is ME saying that. Im like, the crown prince of worshipping first boots, yet none of these four inspired anything in me (and Gonzalez only avoids this cluster by being above average in a season that had so many long-lasting players with little personality.)

Theres not much to talk about with Steve though. He was the only old person in the cast and was always gonna be fodder. He smoked outside, he fell off a balance beam, and he, like Chuck, was only booted because Sam received the power app. I guess I feel a little bad for him, and he associated with the better alliance of the season, so it pushes him to the best of this cluster, but theres not much else of value there. In fact, with his elimination, thats half the BB20 cast gone already, just barely out of the bottom 20 of this list. Thats a real shame, because this season had potential. Oh well. Down to Winston to rep for the guys this season too.
