They should really soften the timber cutting regulations in California. Yes, it's dry and climate is a factor, but fires spread quickly because the forests are too dense and that's the reason why it spread so quickly.

Either you cut some of it or have it all burn in a fire. And when it burns, it'll burn more than just trees given the devastation of the wild fires in the last few years.

but it can also burn and kill us.


There are enough trees here. Trust me, I see hundreds of trees every time I drive to work and there is no shortage of oxygen.

The problem right now is the high density of trees per acre in forests. There are hundreds of trees per acre because of unchecked growth compared to less than 50 trees per acre 150 year ago. And there are 129 million dead trees in California. That's a lot of fuel for wildfires.
