Ok Guy is born in Texas to a family who has been here 7 generations. He then kills 3 people. That's horrible, but what could we do to prevent it? Guy sneaks into the country illegally and beats people up. He gets arrested and goes to prison. Then they let him stay in the country despite his crimes. Then he kills 3 people Why was he allowed to stay after the violence? Okay. But in your example of the Texan guy, what if he had been convicted of a violent crime before? How would you handle that? His ass would have been thrown in jail. Had he been here illegally, his ass would also have then been kicked out of the country when he got out of jail. But in that example, he was an American citizen, so the ass-kicking-out-of-the-country would not have been applicable, as he was here legally. Because in America, we don't revoke citizenship just because you committed a crime. But if you're here when you're not supposed to be, then we have every right to kick you out. Long story short: This guy was convicted of a violent crime and should've been deported. It was a preventable tragedy. That man had no right to be in the country, let alone stay in it, especially after he was arrested.
