5 years for taping a phone call and posting it on the internet is fucking bull shit, any time in prison for it is ridiculous.

The majority of states don't even require both parties to be aware of / consent to being taped in a phone conversation, and it's a disgrace that the backwards states that do require it haven't had their laws struck down by the courts yet.

Never heard of him before, not sure what his username was on here. His other acts sound pretty bad, but this particular one seems like trumped up bs.

A lot of his arrests are borderline BS, but it's just an accumulation of nonsense that keeps landing him in trouble.

And, in general, one-party consent laws have a very rape-y tone.

US state laws are bogus... I mean, like, there's no reason why you can register your car in montana to dodge a sales tax or base your LLC in Delaware to dodge fees. Y'all need one law.

Except you really don't. And Canada has different laws based on area as well, it's just a natural thing. There wouldn't be any sense in having a national standard for taxation because states have different needs depending on their government. More importantly, a lot of states couldn't support the kind of excessive taxation seen in CT, MA, NY, CA, etc.
