Then, there are pens that do require cartridges that will eventually stop working because the battery dies and it's not replaceable. And then there are pens that take refillable cartridges AND also the battery can be replaced (or just never needs to be replaced). I personally prefer the first type, but it seems like they're not available anymore. They're available here, but I do the one where you have the battery and you buy disposable cartridges.
