@__@ That sounds crazy lol. But I'm really excited because I hear there's a bunch more classes compared to Diablo? And hopefully it's the same system where every level up gives you 2-3 new moves/runes.

Friends and I were thinking of starting out hardcore too <__<

There are 3 "pure" classes and 3 hybrid classes, and each class has 3 "upgrade" classes they specialise into. So you have the typical tank, archer, mage classes, for strength, dexterity and intelligence respectively. Then you have duelist, assassin and monk classes which use a combination of each. Then each class will have a choice later in the game to become something else, e.g. the tank can become a juggernaut or berserker or chieftan. So arguably there are 24 classes. And the character skill tree...holy shit that's a whole different story.

The attack skills part is different though. Rather than learning attack skills, you find gems which slot into weapons which give your character skills. So say you have a weapon with 3 slots on it. You can have one gem which makes all your attacks produce fire, and another gem which makes every attack create 3 ghosts which do the same attack, and then another gem that makes any fire attack create 3 magma balls erupt from your weapon. All of that links together.

So what ends up happening is 12 magma balls erupt in various places in the battlefield every time you attack someone.
