He originated in Castlevania III, but he's best known for Symphony of the Night, in which he is the main protagonist. He also appears in Aira of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow, but in disguise as Genya Arikado. The very popular Netflix Castlevania series is based on Castlevania III, and Alucard has a prominent role in it.
