It should be a general guideline but make it be on a case by case basis and in this case he should be serving at least a decade. He really should yeah. Doesn't sound like the judge is happy with how little they had to give, but they can't exactly do much about it afaik. Judges overrule the damn president all the time. Not saying they should or shouldnt have ot getting into that. Just saying, judges are anything but powerless youd think.. Judges overrule the president when he does something unconstitutional. As fucked up as it is, giving the kid a longer sentence when legally this is the maximum would be unconstitutional.
