And you also make a good point about how ridiculous this scenario is to people who have their own home and never have any toddlers over. Personally I live in an apartment complex and have seen 1 toddler 2 rooms down the hall as well as a dog about the same distance away. So for me the situation may actually be more reasonable. Though in practice I wouldn't think to go in either direction unless somehow I knew the dog and child would be there needing help. And actually the dog couldn't unlock and open the door, so that would be another great reason for me to save the child (assuming the child is able to hear me and unlock a door). Edit: Oh, wait. Forgot it had to be MY dog. Then no, it's not applicable in my living situation because I don't have a dog. --- I need to work more on my so-called "business". http://prismaticpenguin.com (days since update: too many) ...
