The show actually is an incredibly faithful adaptation. Me and my wife just started season 3 and it's good so far. Far darker than the last two seasons, as far as I can tell, but it has been good. Ah nice. I didn't know it was based on books. Might have to check them out. Yeah I'm in the middle/near the end I think and it's pretty great so far.
