I think the biggest reason was my college years.

I have a practically useless degree in journalistic communication because i was lured to the "honorable" job and that kind of idealistic bullcrap.

The harm itself came from how easy it was going trough college. I used to be good at handling big, serious projects, likr in high school, but college is basically murdered my work ethics.

I am always pretty smart, and the stuff i studied was pretty basic shit, at least academically. Basically was on cruise mode trough college.

I would just go to class, dooze off, go home play videogame all night and when tests come, i would just photocopy friend's notes, skim it for a night and got A to A-.

That became habit, that the lack of challenge rusted my sense of responsibility and work ethics to the mess i am now.

Even when working half assed trough my bachelor thesis, i still graduated with 3.5 GPA

I mean yea, the useless degree barred me for some carreer path i could excel in, but the biggest harm the utter destruction of soft skill as a worker, as 4 years of conditioning in cruise mode destroyed me as a person.

Turns out, at work, regardless of skill you have to actually DO something, and i spent 4 years sitting on my ass getting results.

This is probably my biggest regret in life, and probably gonna spend the next decade fixing this. Slowly.

Tl;dr strive makes people strong, i lack strive in life makes me weak
