Not true at all. You feel in the mood, so you do it. Then you get depressed after. Then you get in the mood again. Its a circle.

It's not that it sucks; it's that you feel empty afterwards. And the person next to you is at best an inconvenience because now you need to convince them to leave so you can get back to your life. Or maybe you like them, but they have no interest in staying and clearly have no interest in you as person.

It's like, why did you even bother will all the internet messages and flirting or whatever? What did you get?

I would like to point out that sex addiction is something very different. There's a chemical and psychological element to that that makes it earn that 'addiction' title. I assume the topic is asking about some of the negative emotions that follow casual hookups, that we know likely won't turn into something more substantial.
