I kind of agree. I think this is partially contributing to the fact that current generation adults are having less sex, despite arguably having more venues than ever. Sex without intimacy isn't fulfilling for a lot of people. It's not worth the trouble or inconvenience.

That said, there are people who are just fine with it, or who compartmentalize their romantic lives from their sexual lives. I don't know of many married gay male couples, but those I do know regularly sleep around or engage is some kind of group sex, with the caveat that they're completely honest about it. So it's like their romantic and sexual lives run parallel to one another. It's fine that the sex is meaningless, because the meaning is derived elsewhere.

But that kind of relationship doesn't just happen, to comes about through a lot hard conversations and heartache. And while it works for some people, it cannot work for everyone.


Yeah I can see that. Its better if you have the romance atleast in an open relationship. But when it comes to being single, its difficult
