Whenever someone uses the "But you'd be crazy for not taking this deal" type of argument, I've always found the quickest way out is to give the crazy, complete opposite answer. So in this instance maybe I'd say, "I don't need a handout" or "I hate free things" and people typically don't know what to say and back off. I did this recently at a mall. A kiosk worker came right up in my face, steps directly in front of my path and says, "What do you use for your skin care products?" I looked him square in the eyes and said, "I don't take care of my skin" with the most indignant tone I could muster and kept walking. He didn't say a damn thing as I walked away. --- "On my business card, I'm a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer.
