Why do you have to lie like that? Its pretty clear Mueller is much smarter than Trump, as evidenced by the fact that they let Manafort feed info to Trump and then said his lying ass is getting his plea deal revoked after Trump submitted answers to Mueller.
He knows the president wants to fire him. He knows Trump forced Sessions to resign so he could bring in someone not forced to recuse themself as head of DoJ to threaten Mueller. He knows the GOP controlled Congress will not protect him.
So why would he not have a failsafe in place if he gets fired?
