Also can't forget the time it's implied Homer is going to die of fugu poisoning, the show plays it straight the whole time and even fakes you out into thinking he really does for a minute lol. First couples seasons were dark man. Thats a good one. Still nothing beats Mother Simpson for the feels. Something about Homer being so dumb, taking time to look at the stars and let it sink in.
