This sounds like coincidence to me though, propane is a heavy gas, and if you didn't smell it then it wasn't there when you tested the alarm. Mine give me the same "gas detected" message when I test them. Maybe, but there is still a very funky sulfur smell engulfing the area around my house. The smell is coming from the pipe that comes out of the back of the house. I'm a computer guy, I'm not a handyman, so I don't know. Come to think of it, it does smell worse around the basement sink, and I do remember the bathwater being a weird color a while ago. It might be backed up sewage. Regardless, we should have someone coming tomorrow.
