We evolved from animals. Into an evolved form of an animal. Still animals... Just an evolved form of them... by that logic we are all just microbes as well all evolved from them. To us, we can be microbes because they are microscopic. And we are not microscopic... to us. If there is a race much bigger than us out there using a giant microscope to look at us, though, the we could be microbes to them. Honestly, we can be anything we want to be called.
