I only played the first one and it mostly seemed about fighting pseudo-orcs and a demon-dragon and some political backstabbing. And fucking a swamp witch.

Then you really didn't pay much attention to the game you played tbh.

It's a major theme of it.

I don't know, it seemed more like a group of people and political frenemies begrudgingly cooperating, or not, to not be murdered and raped by the dark spawn horde.

I don't remember a lot of coming togetherness from Alistair when I opted to make Loghain a Grey Warden or Leliana when I dumped blood in those sacred ashes.

Really, you don't remember the entire alliance building of bringing together Elves, Dwarves, and Mages together with the remnants of Ferelden forces to fight against the blight? Your memory must suck since that was roughly 2/3rds of the fucking game.
