I don't remember a lot of coming togetherness from Alistair when I opted to make Loghain a Grey Warden or Leliana when I dumped blood in those sacred ashes.
Even if you play an asshole, the message is still there. You're just playing someone who rejects the message in favor of "might makes right." ---
