It does depend how they pull it off. It's possible to integrate politics into and/or have diversity in a game without killing it, including politics that the player doesn't necesserially agree with (case in point for me: I entirely disagree with the point AA6 makes about (not) holding lawyers responsible for defending guilty clients (minor spoiler, you'll know it's relevant to the plot by the end of the 1st case and probably know what point they're trying to make by the end of the 3rd), but I still very much enjoyed the game). Key factors are still making an enjoyable game despite the political stuff, rather than the game being a thinly-veiled context to shove your politics in everyone's faces.

But that sure as hell doesn't sound like the case with this one.
