| MrMallard 12/12/18 10:54:30 PM #43: | I was the most butthurt person on this board when the trailers came out, I thought it was trying to put lipstick on a pig - make a le deep Darks Souls inspired combat game out of a perfectly fine series of schlock. I hit the character limit talking shit about how I thought the game was going to have a cheap and insulting bait and switch where we play as the kid - I hated the very idea of this game. I came within a hair's breadth of betting my account that it was going to be a shit show. Then it came out, and I watched my friend play it. And honestly? It's pretty tits. It's got respect for the earlier games, and it moves forward with an emotional story that actually fucking works - in a God of War game! I've come around completely on it as an absolute non-believer.
